Public Transportation Switch and Transceiver Systems
Public Transportation Switch and Transceiver Systems
With the digital transformation of public transportation (metro, light rail, BRT), the demand for stable, high-speed network communication is increasingly urgent. Public transportation scenarios feature harsh environments (vibration, EMI, wide temperature fluctuations) and mission-critical services (train control, HD surveillance, PIS). Traditional equipment fails to adapt, causing congestion, downtime and security risks. An integrated solution based on industrial-grade switches and fiber transceivers has been developed to address these issues.
Core Challenges in Public Transportation Network Communication
Public transportation networks face unique challenges different from conventional networks:
- Harsh Environment: On-board/wayside equipment must withstand -40℃~+75℃ temperatures, vibration, EMI, dust and moisture, which ordinary commercial equipment cannot handle.
- High Reliability: Mission-critical services (CBTC, surveillance) require 24/7 operation; legacy networks lack redundancy, leading to prolonged downtime.
- High Bandwidth & Low Latency: 4K surveillance and real-time data demand high bandwidth, while train control needs millisecond-level latency, beyond traditional gigabit equipment.
- Compliance & Security: Equipment must meet EN50155, EN50121 and CRCC standards; network security against unauthorized access is critical.
- Flexible Deployment: Large coverage requires flexible, easy-to-maintain equipment for diverse scenarios (on-board, wayside, tunnel).
